The Red Deer & District Kennel Club has a new logo!!
Thank you to everyone who submitted Logo Designs!
They were all awesome!
A winner has been decided and it is.......
Jane King from Little Current, ON
Thank you Jane, for your submission!!
RDDKC Logo Competition 2008 - Entry#1
This logo design I created for the Red Deer and District Kennel Club has three chosen dog breeds, the Papillion, the Irish Setter, and the Doberman Pinscher, together with a ribbon. The dog images represent the toy breeds, the sporting/hunting breeds and the working dogs. The dogs also represent the different styles of dog ears and dog sizes. I chose the colours that covered the basic dog colours, white, brown, and black.
The dog images along with the ribbon also represent conformation shows, obedience trials, field trials and dog training provided by the kennel club. Together the images within the logo also represent dog ownership and advancement of purebred dogs.
Sincerely,
Jane King

A little info about Jane...
Biography: Jane King, Little Current, ON
As a dog breed fancier/enthusiast, Jane came across the logo contest on the Red Deer and District Kennel Club website while looking up dog breeds on “dog” related websites. “The nice design and ease of use of the RDDKC website made it easy to read about and learn how to enter the competition.” Even though the distance was so far away, through the modern use of technology, working on the logo from home in Ontario was not an obstacle.
Jane is a graduate of visual art/graphic design. She has worked for corporate, government, and non-profit organizations, but more recently has gotten back to pursuing her artistic endeavours. Since moving to Manitoulin Island, Jane has been working on illustrating, painting and freelance design.
She looks forward to watching the Westminster Dog Show annually as well as attending the local dog shows. With an American Eskimo at home, she has been looking at which breed of dog to add to the family, “With so many dog breeds, it’s hard to decide.”
“I was glad to be able to participate in the contest. It was a pleasure to work on a logo that was about dogs.”
Thank you to the RDDKC for choosing my logo design.
